August 20, 2026; This morning, Thursday, August 20, 2026, "Pouriya Naderi", a 29-year-old Yarsani Kurdish youth who was held in detention for 6 months during the January 2026 protests and had previously been detained for 3 months during the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi movement, was targeted inside his vehicle and shot twice in the head and heart by law enforcement forces of the "Dowlatabad" police station in Kermanshah following his identification for arrest, dying instantly. To date, his body has not been handed over to his family.
An informed source confirmed this news to Kurdpa, stating: This morning, Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM, "Pouriya Naderi", a 29-year-old Yarsani Kurdish youth, was directly targeted and shot by law enforcement forces of the "Dowlatabad" police station in Kermanshah while inside his vehicle, dying instantly as a result of being hit by one bullet in the head and another in the heart.
During the January 2026 protests, "Pouriya Naderi" was arrested by plainclothes security forces without presenting a judicial warrant and held in arbitrary detention for 6 months before being released on a multi-billion Toman bail. Following this detention and security case fabrication, he was repeatedly summoned by security institutions, including the Intelligence Office and the IRGC Intelligence, without being presented with a judicial warrant. A court notification had also been issued for him; however, because he was repeatedly threatened with death and saw himself in severe danger to his life, he refrained from presenting himself to security agencies following the summonses.
This source close to the family cited the threat to "Pouriya Naderi"'s life as the reason for his refusal to present himself to security institutions, stating that he saw himself in mortal danger and feared immensely following consecutive summonses that he would be killed.
Ultimately, today, Thursday, August 20, 2026, after identifying "Pouriya Naderi", law enforcement forces of the "Dowlatabad" station attempted to arrest him, but on the route from "Dowlatabad" to "Dara Drij", he was shot twice, losing his life after being hit in the head and heart.
"Pouriya Naderi" was also arrested during the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi revolutionary uprising in 2022 and released on bail after three months.
Pouriya Naderi, 29 years old, son of Mohammad, was married, originally a Yarsani Kurd from the "Suzavaleh" tribe, native to the village of "Doshiman" in the Zohab region, and resident of Dara Drij in Kermanshah, working as a self-employed individual.
