August 19, 2026; On Wednesday evening, August 19, 2026, "Abed Alizadeh", a Kurdish youth from the city of Takab and a media activist who was active on social media in support of the people, the victims of January, and Kurdish culture and language, was arbitrarily detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to an informed source speaking to Kurdpa; "Abed Alizadeh", son of Moloud and a resident of "Sharifabad" in the city of Takab, was arrested by security forces at 8:00 PM without presenting a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location.

This Kurdish citizen was active on social media in support of rightful public protests against high prices, protesting against viewing protesters as enemies, supporting Kurdish language, culture, and Kurdish studies, and generally addressing social issues in society.

Abed Alizadeh is married. Recently, publishing a video of his marriage ceremony, he stated: "Out of respect for all the victims of these recent events, we held our marriage ceremony simply and without any celebration, hoping that one day the dear people of Iran achieve what they deserve. Thank you in advance to all you dear ones who congratulated us. Hoping for better days."

Until the time of publication of this news, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest and possible charges against this Kurdish citizen, and security forces have offered no explanation in this regard.
