August 19, 2026; On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, "Mohammad Vatmani", a Kurdish youth from the city of Mahabad, was arbitrarily detained by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to an informed source speaking to Kurdpa; security forces of the Intelligence Office arrested this Kurdish citizen on one of the streets of Mahabad without presenting a judicial warrant and transferred him to an unknown location.

Until the time of publication of this news, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest and possible charges against this Kurdish citizen, and security forces have offered no explanation in this regard. Furthermore, "Mohammad Vatmani" is deprived of the right to access a lawyer, family visits, and telephone calls.
