August 20, 2026; With five days having passed since the arbitrary detention of "Nazanin Hosseinpour", a 34-year-old Kurdish woman from the city of Piranshahr and mother of two young children, no information is available regarding her fate and place of detention. She, who also cares for her husband suffering from cancer, is deprived of the right to family visits, telephone calls, and access to a lawyer.

According to an informed source speaking to Kurdpa; on Sunday, August 16, 2026, "Nazanin Hosseinpour", daughter of Soleyman Mirza and native to the village of "Shinabad" in the district of the city of Piranshahr, was arrested after being summoned to the Intelligence Office of this city and transferred to an unknown location. Despite continuous follow-ups by her family, no information regarding her fate and place of detention has been obtained so far.

This informed source added; Nazanin Hosseinpour is married and the mother of two young children, a boy and a girl. Her husband suffers from cancer and some of his body organs have lost function. Furthermore, Nazanin's parents-in-law are also in poor physical condition, and the responsibility of caring for and attending to the condition of these three family members rested on Nazanin; nevertheless, she is currently held in arbitrary detention and in a state of unknown whereabouts.

This source also stated; members of Nazanin Hosseinpour's family are political activists living outside Iran.

Until the time of publication of this news, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest and possible charges against this Kurdish citizen, and security forces have offered no explanation in this regard. Nazanin Hosseinpour is also deprived of the right to access a lawyer, family visits, and telephone calls.
